This is an all day bring your own tree workshop. Bjorn Bjorholm will focus on how to properly prepare a tree for display and show, and the correct display components associated with the tree. Bjorn will discuss stands, scrolls, companion plants along with other display criteria.
He will provide a presentation of the winning and other high quality displays in Japan. Students are asked to each bring a tree that they would like to show in the coming year or a tree that is at their best stage for showing. Bjorn will use the trees throughout the day as examples when looking at stands, pots, companion plants etc.Bjorn will provide each student with advice on what to do to get the tree show ready.
This will be an extremely informative discussion from a bonsai artist that has had work consistently accepted in the top Japan shows including Kokufu-ten, Taikan-ten and Sakufu-ten. Lunch is included to keep participants onsite to spend as much time with Bjorn during this bonsai class.
