🌲 Bring Your Own Tree (BYOT) Workshop

Duration: Up to 3 hours 1pm to 4pm

Description:
Have a bonsai that needs some attention or direction? Bring it to our BYOT (Bring Your Own Tree) workshop for personalized, hands-on help from our experienced instructors.  Whether your tree needs pruning, wiring, styling, or repotting, this open-format class focuses on bonsai care.  It also provides the perfect opportunity to work on your own bonsai with expert guidance.

Our instructors will go to each student and will offer one-on-one advice tailored to your tree’s species, condition, and design goals.  You’ll learn techniques to improve your tree’s health and appearance.  Furthermore, you will leave with a better understanding of how to continue shaping and caring for it at home during our specialized Bonsai Workshop sessions.

This class is relaxed, supportive, and ideal for hobbyists of all skill levels—especially those who want to build confidence through direct practice on their own trees.

Possible Topics Covered:

• Tree assessment and design planning

• Pruning and shaping techniques

• Wiring and styling guidance

• Soil, watering, and care tips

• Seasonal maintenance advice

This is an open workshop, you may come and go during the workshop period.

What to Bring:
Bring one or more of your own bonsai trees to work on during class.  You will need to supply all basic tools, wire, and soil.  Of course, we have all the supplies, pots, and trees for purchase in our shop to make the most out of your Bonsai Workshop experience.
